Reciprocal Moorage Partners

One of the greatest privileges of being a member of POYC is reciprocal relationships with other yacht clubs around the Northwest. Most of these clubs provide limited free or reduced cost moorage and access to their facilities when space is available, and POYC, in turn, provides other clubs access to our facilities. Not only can this reduce your cruising costs, but visiting these clubs is a great way to meet other boaters.

Remember that access to this moorage is a privilege and that space is often limited, especially during the summer. When planning a cruise, check the Club’s website or contact them directly to confirm the availability of moorage or changes to their moorage rules. Some clubs take reservations. Each club provides updated reciprocal information to this site:

General Instructions:

  • Always fly your burgee and carry your POYC membership card. In Canada, fly a Canadian courtesy flag.
  • Moorage is generally on a first come – first served basis.
  • Most club websites include directions to the moorage and procedures for visiting boaters.

Waggoner Cruising Guide and The Burgee Book are good guides.

  • Marinas.com (http://marinas.com) has aerial photographs of most of these marinas.
  • Some clubs have restaurants and bars. Most are cashless and only accept credit cards.
  • As at POYC, do not have open fires or barbeques on the dock, keep pets on leash and don’t use generators and other equipment after hours. Remember that you are liable for any loss or damage incurred while a guest and that boats must not be left unattended overnight without permission.
  • Some clubs, especially in Canada, now require proof of insurance.
  • Again, check with the reciprocal club for details, holiday restrictions, etc.

Please remember that these pages are provided for your cruising convenience. Listing can change daily, so please check the corresponding websites.
