Whetheryou’re new to racing or looking to sharpen your edge, this session will walkthrough the essential rules and strategies that shape every race. We’ll coverkey right-of-way rules, common situations at marks and crossings, and how theserules come into play during the critical moments before and after the start.

Thesecond half will focus on practical race strategy—how to position yourself onthe line, make better tactical decisions, and stay out of trouble while stayingcompetitive.

Designedfor beginner to intermediate sailors, this is a great opportunity to buildconfidence, ask questions, and better understand what’s really happening out onthe course.

You can attend by boat with a fee of $25 covering moorage for the whole weekend. This puts you in the middle of all the action at TYC.

There are two other options as well: 

1.   You can attend by car, and can click on the registration link above to get your $5 Daffy Pass.

2.   We also have a number of members who spend the weekend at the Dock Street Marina, and enjoy viewing the Daffodil Parade on Sunday. We have reserved some slips for POYC, but you must contact the Marina by March 17. Phone 253.250.1906, ask for a POYC cruise slip.
